This is a series in which I describe a typical Tuesday during our travels. This will give you an idea of what we do on an average day – sometimes exciting and sometimes mundane.
Tuesday, January 24, 2017: Buenos Aires, Argentina
9:31am – Wake up and sit downstairs reading and playing video games. Shower and get dressed.
11:27am – Leave apartment and go to Aconcagua, a restaurant on the corner for a late breakfast. I order toast with a cheese spread and jam, with coffee and juice. Jon orders three pastries with coffee.
12:11pm – Leave the restaurant and walk around the neighborhood of San Telmo, down to Plaza Dorrego. Stop to look at the old buildings, graffiti, and murals on the way.
12:24pm – Enter the Mercado San Telmo and walk around, looking at all the different stalls. Stop to buy some cheese, sausage, bread, and jam.
12:48pm – Go back to the apartment and relax, spending time reading and playing video games.
3:50pm – Cut some cheese, sausage, and bread for a mid-afternoon snack and open a bottle of wine. Continue reading and playing video games – relaxing!
9:26pm – Jon begins preparing spaghetti for dinner. We don’t have any spatulas or large spoons, so I text our AirBNB host who arrives 10 minutes later with some more cooking utensils. Jon finishes the spaghetti and we sit down on the couch to eat while watching GMM on YouTube. Unfortunately, the spaghetti isn’t very good so we throw most of it away.
11:05pm – Get ready for bed and read before falling asleep.
